First: obama continues to put the US down while he tours abroad. The state of the economy, the safety of our boarders and his inept foreign policy are never at issue as he consistently points to proportionately meager social issues as main roadblocks for America. Why? Because the world around him is falling apart-our allies are being left out in the cold, and our enemies have no respect for the obama administration. The internal structure of the US is failing due to obama's continued governmental suppression and special interest legislation. There is nothing left for obama to ruin except the social structure. Then he will have successfully fundamentally change the US from a top world leader to a flailing third rate socialist state.
Second: it is now confirmed that kerry is an idiot. The fact that the obama administration has made every effort to woo Palestinian support at the cost of our relationship with Israel is no secret. Now he comes out and makes it quite clear that the administration is blatantly anti-semitic, looking to create a situation that could quite possibly lead to war. Idiot. Why hasn't sharpton or jackson called for kerry's resignation after his anti-semitic remarks? Or is racism only punishable, in their eyes, if black people are the victims?
Third: The sterling outcome should have been expected, MLB set the bar with the shot decision, so any less a penalty would have been suspect. However: everyone seemed to already know how sterling felt, yet it appears that he never acted out or made any decisions based on those feelings. So if not blindsided by his 'girlfriend,' his thoughts and feelings would not be public and life would have gone on as always. I guess my question is this: Freedom of speech has its price, but the freedom to speak is still a freedom, isn't it?
Lastly: I find the uproar over Sarah Palin's Baptism comment unwarranted. In fact I think that the tongue in cheek comment worked in two ways. First it was in support of taking those people that threaten the US and its allies and letting them know that we (or in this case, she) would do what was necessary to garner information from them. Second, if the mere thought of torture isn't enough to deter some radical Islamist, maybe the thought of being Baptized and losing all those virgins would be. Just saying.
