and you may eventually be right.
The overzealous outcry by some on the left for Zimmerman to be tried in Federal Court because of the outcome of the Florida trial is slowly becoming something else entirely. As the facts of Zimmerman's life come to the forefront it becomes more obvious that he probably doesn't have a racist bone in his body, and because certain individuals want to keep their agenda, their names, in the headlines they continue on tangents not related to but now associated with the Zimmerman trial. Just like a certain lacrosse team and a particular young girl who didn't tell the truth, lives turned upside down to further those careers who depend on the spotlight and the emotions of many. It doesn't matter to them if the facts are right. It is only about one thing, and that one thing isn't about closing the chasm. When you walk into an elevator and a woman clutches her purse closer to her body, it is because you entered. But couldn't her motivation have been to avoid bumping you with it? When in a store looking around, a clerk comes up to you to ask if you need help. Couldn't it be due to the fact that it is their job to help you? If in every instance of human contact you look for a racist motive behind every action of those you encounter you will undoubtedly be correct eventually, but if your motivation is to look for the racism first due to the other persons skin color or appearance, doesn't that make you the racist? There are true leaders in this country that are snubbed due to their color, not by those who are different, but by those who are also black. Alan West, Herman Cain, Dr. Ben Carson to name only a few. These men are true leaders of humanity, not only of race. The question you need to ask yourself is why are they being ostracized? In 1911 Booker T. Washington wrote: "There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs. There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don't want the patient to get well." sharpton, jackson, bond, holder and yes obama need to take a long look in a mirror and ask themselves how pertinent Mr. Washington's quote is today. Especially obama, who's onslaught of social programs isn't only destroying a race or a culture or a class of people, those programs are destroying the very foundation of America. What is going to happen when a true case of racism rears it's ugly head? Will it only matter if the victim is black?
