I wanted to say thank you to all of the Veterans who served to protect this great Nation, those who gave their lives, those who had their lives drastically changed forever, and those who came away seemingly unscathed but are haunted by what they have witnessed.
Thank you to all of those that are there to help our Veterans, many of whom are Veterans themselves.
Thank you to all of those who chose to forgo the lure of high paying careers in order to mentor and teach our children.
Thank you to all of the Police Officers and Firefighters who have given their lives, limbs and souls to protect and serve.
Thank you to the parents who helped mold their children into the strength that is the backbone of this Country.
Let us not forget that it is the sacrifices made by those before us that gives us the opportunities we have today.
Let us not forget that it only takes a mili-second to lose it all.
To enjoy progress, you need not abandon your rights. In fact, to abandon your rights, you not only disregard all that those before us have sacrificed, you in deed limit the progress you are capable of making.
