Say that we have a huge fig tree that feeds all of society. Governments role with regards to this tree is to protect it. In order for the government to do this it must take some of the water and nutrients from the soil around the trees roots and also take some of its fruits.
obama's government is parasitic in nature. It leeches much of the water and nutrients from the soil, restricting the amount that the tree gets, while still taking a percentage of the fruit. The excess leeching however, restricts the trees ability to make fruit, in turn its production decreases. Yet the obama government continues to leech form the soil and take the fruit until the tree slowly dwindles and dies.
Romney's government on the other hand is more symbiotic. It reduces the amount of water and nutrients it takes from the soil. This enables the tree to thrive and produce a much greater quantity of fruit. The Romney government still takes a percentage of fruit, but because the tree is producing so much more fruit, everyone is able to share in the bounty. The tree thrives.
So the question is: do you want to have a parasitic government that leeches from the tree of our financial life until it dies, or do you want a government that is going to enable that tree to thrive so that everyone prospers?
Sticking with the food theme, a word about the recent jobs numbers release. The way that they are using the information that they have gathered is like saying that all of the corn the crows ate is in the silo.
Now, to go in a different direction. There was a study published that found a link between free contraceptives and a decrease of pregnancies and abortions. Duh. I wonder who paid for this ingenious project.
What is most disturbing is the percentage of individuals opting for IUD's and implants, 75%, and the leaning towards national temporary sterilization of women and teens under obamacare. What's next obama harpies? Girls are going to be able to get plan-b pills from their high school nurse in NYC, no questions asked. Now a push for the national temporary sterilization of teens, without regard to long term effects, physical and mental. What next? A push to lower the age of statutory rape to 12? After all, why all the concern for contraceptives if you aren't condoning the activity. Where's the push for responsibility?
I guess this should be of no surprise. You can't watch 15 minutes of tv without a commercial about sex coming on. I wonder who is really making the push for government (taxpayer) contraceptives. It couldn't be the multi billion dollar pharmaceutical sex industry could it?
With freedom comes responsibility. You can only go about life holding no consequence for your actions, taking no responsibility, if you surrender your freedom. And so the veil of socialism slowly wafts down across our Nation.
